F2 282 Ride with Tushingham Storm 6.5m and 36 fin.

With loads of wind forecast for the weekend I was not sure what to do but with the Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva coming in the afternoon I was hoping to get out at Felixstowe in the morning to miss the afternoon rain as well! With the wind building just before ten I hitched the trailer and headed down to Squiz Lane at The Manor taking Mag so she could walk home, I just managed to park as campevans seem to have discovered the spot, it?s carnival day too so Felixstowe is going to be busy! The weather at this point was good with brief glimpses of sun too and a good breeze, a tad offshore, just west of SW with the sea looking nice and smooth helped by the tide still being fairly low. It looked windy enough to fin so I put the F2 Ride 282 (115 lt) and rigged my new Tushingham Storm 6.5 with more downhaul today and it was pretty much perfect with the wind being my favourite 20 knots:) I went for my usual hour nonstop doing long runs out to the right of the Wadgate post. The Manor beak was also working today out near Wadgadge where you get a long area of smooth water caused by along sandbank, great fun, although it did lump up as the tide came in. Nothing fast today just fun blasting and no rain either which was a bonus:) My left knee is not great for fin sailing in the sea and I can?t push it so hard, I came in after an hour and a half and realised I was close to sailing 30 miles so had one more rrun out to Wadgate and ended up sailing 33 miles with an OK hour. I packed up, took a few pics of Al and Luke out finning and winging before heading for home and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Maeva:) Not sure about tomorrow another day on the sea or a flatter foil session at Levington. Will make my mind up in the morning?
As for Felixstowe Carnival the procession went well, then the rain arrived and everything had to be sadly cancelled:(
